Commissioned by a local client who wanted two console tables for the entrance hall of her new home, the tables are made from carefully selected Scottish Elm and American Black Walnut timbers. The design features an elegant floating top above tapered and curved legs that gives a delicate refined look with a Japanese influence. The top of each table is created from a single board of walnut carefully book matched to create a stunning grain pattern effect. Each table is finished to a satin lustre by careful and repeated oiling which allows the beauty of the contrasting timbers to be fully appreciated. Also produced as a limited-edition piece in American black Walnut.
